TEACHING AT HFT STUTTGART: DAS TOR ZUR WELT.

With our students at HFT Stuttgart we explore the potential of densification within wide-spread existing single-family-home areas. We are adding program and space to existing built structures like garages.

After analysing several layers of this urban fabric the students and us put ourselves into 2043 with the method of Regnose.

Imagining a world that has gone through a deep transformation process with Bauwende, Verkehrswende, Energiewende and Wirtschaftswende we are facing an opportunity to change the vast and endless urbanscape of single-family-home areas.

A new demand for new spaces and programs enriches existing built structures and unlocks social and ecological potentials in these new regenerative habitats.
